Blue

Lazy Sunday morning. I pull out of the driveway to go to work and was greeted with the most immaculate blue sky I have ever seen. Sparsely-scattered wafts of snowwhite cottoncandy clouds hung as if a happy child had decided to play with his treat, grabbed handfuls of spun sugar, and tossed them around. Archie serenades me as I merge onto the highway. Two more years and you'll be done with school and I'll be making history like I do... I can see the horizon where sky meets land, and felt as if I were driving, 78mph, towards somewhere you would be. The striking blue sky resembled amazingly like your eyes. Oooh, pretty eye fibers! :D I would say. A little bit darker, but maybe that's just because of my shades. I wondered for a moment if God had thought of the sky as He colored your eyes, knowing that one day, I would look into them, fall in love, and remain captivated. If it were up to me, I would have created the sky based on the color of your eyes, so that even though you are 661...no! 660! miles away, I would only need to glance up and be embraced by you. Last time I checked, it was six-hundred and sixty-two. Maybe the world is shrinking for us. Or Google's blue line is trying a little bit harder. Or maybe they just built a new road. Tears gently sting my eyes, and for a short while I can see perfectly. A green bus passes by 2 lanes to my right, and it took me a split second to realize that it is actually a rebel schoolbus. I silently applause its bravitude.

At the culminating point of my research this summer, I had discovered that bluegreen was the most peaceful and calm color pair, not knowing exactly quite why. Today has shown me the answer. The blue backdrop beyond the green trees was proof that nature was in harmony, that we were all alive and well, that things will be okay no matter what. There are some things in life that will never change, and those are the things that settle our hearts in moments such as now. How can one worry at all on such a perfect day?

It has now been exactly a week since I last saw you. Happy 二月 Anniversary, darling.
